Cupertino, CA (AHN) - America Movil, a Latin America cell phone carrier, said Wednesday it will begin selling Apple's popular iPhone later this year. The carrier, with 152 million customers in Mexico and other areas of Latin America, did not announce a date when the iPhone will go on sale nor say whether it will be the exclusive iPhone provider for the region. Tuesday, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster speculated the lack of specifics indicates Apple may shed its exclusive arrangements that surrounded the first-generation of iPhone deals. In late April, Roger Wireless of Canada announced it would offer the iPhone later this year, followed by reports Vodafone and Telecom Italia announced deals to sell the handset .
