Schaumburg, IL (AHN) - Billionaire shareholder Carl Icahn has sued Motorola to force the company to release documents about its troubled mobile devices unit. The documents would help investors gain "an accurate perspective" on options to turn around the company. The lawsuit follows a series of executive departures as Motorola attempts to return the mobile devices department, which comprises half of the handset maker's sales. Icahn has championed electing his own slate of board members to approve a sell-off of the mobile unit. Icahn has also supported shareholder proposals giving investors more say Motorola executive pay and incentives.
