New York, NY (AHN) - Ticketmaster sold 320,000 tickets during the first day China citizens could buy tickets for the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing. Although the company site groaned up 150 million page views, there was no repeat of last year's online collapse. "It was slow for sure, but in some ways by design, to protect the systems," Curt Logan, Ticketmaster senior vice president, told the Wall Street Journal Wednesday. In 2007, Ticketmaster, a unit of IAC/InterActiveCorp, was forced to temporarily halt sales after demand for Olympic tickets overwhelmed the Internet site.
