3)   FCC Says No To Skype's Petition For Open Networks
Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin is dismissing Skype Ltd.'s petition to force wireless carriers to open their networks to all devices and software applications. In a keynote speech at the Telecommunications Industry Association's (CTIA) Wireless convention, Martin said the industry's recent push toward openness makes such a rule unnecessary.
